About PILOT

Our Story

In 2015 PILOT was founded in New York City by former SVP of HR and CEO/Executive Coach Ben Brooks. He believed in the mission for everyone to feel powerful at work so much that he poured his life's savings into founding and funding the company.

Ben's background in HR made him keenly aware that fewer than 1% of employees have access to executive coaching despite its impact and promise. This represented a lose-lose for organizations and employees, as employers suffered from needless turnover, disengagement or untapped talent potential and employees were left frustrated, feeling stuck, helpless, and missing out on career opportunities.

PILOT's approach is rooted in an employee owned, organization supported philosophy around career development and employee experience. We've addressed the shortcomings in most internally developed or externally bought talent development programs. This includes PILOT being affordable, scalable, time efficient, fast to implement, and with clear metrics to prove employee growth and organizational ROI.

Since our founding we've been a remote-first team, tapping into exceptional crew members across the United States and globally.

Our company is proud to be a certified LGBT-owned Business Enterprise by the NGLCC, one of just a ~dozen such businesses in the enterprise SaaS segment nationwide. DEI is at the core of our origin story, operating philosophy and market impact.
